House Rules – Prater DOME Vienna

These House Rules are publicly displayed in the entrance area. By entering the Prater DOME event area, you bindingly agree to these rules. Violations may lead to exclusion of the respective event at Prater DOME.

Gender notice

All personal designations apply gender-neutrally and include all genders equally.

Preamble

  • These house and venue rules, hereinafter referred to as the "House Rules", apply throughout the entire event area for the duration of each event.
  • The event area includes all floors, the rooftop, ancillary rooms and all other areas belonging to the Prater DOME.
  • The House Rules apply to all persons entering the event area. Emergency services and representatives of authorities are exempt.

1. Admission and Stay

  • Admission only with a valid, personalized ticket or corresponding accreditation.
  • Tickets and accreditations are non-transferable.
  • Tickets and accreditations must be kept or carried until leaving the event area.
  • Staying is permitted only in those areas corresponding to the respective ticket or accreditation.
  • Ticket, accreditation and official photo identification must be presented upon entry and upon request.
  • Security staff may carry out ID checks for identity verification.
  • Anyone refusing checks may be denied admission or expelled from the event area.
  • The event time is defined as the period from the admission of the audience until the last visitor has left the event area.
  • After the end of the event, the event area must be left immediately.
  • Visiting Prater DOME is open to all persons. Discrimination will not be tolerated.
  • In enforcing our admission criteria, we always adhere to the Equal Treatment Act. For more information about the Equal Treatment Act, please refer to: GLEICHBEHANDLUNGSGESETZ

  • Admission is generally from the age of 18.
  • Separate age, accompaniment and youth protection provisions can apply to special events.
  • Outer clothing must be deposited at the coat check or in the lockers. Depositing elsewhere is prohibited.

Admission may in particular be refused in the event of:

  • missing or invalid ticket or accreditation
  • refusal of control measures
  • significant intoxication
  • influence of drugs or consciousness-impairing medication
  • riotous, aggressive or disorderly conduct
  • willingness to use violence or intent to disrupt
  • existing ban from the premises
  • carrying prohibited items
  • violations of statutory provisions or these House Rules
  • if official requirements, evacuation or other safety reasons prevent admission

Furthermore, the following applies:

  • Bringing and consuming addictive substances in Prater DOME is strictly prohibited.
  • Carrying or trading illegal substances will result in a police report and a ban from the premises.
  • Goods and services consumed must be paid for immediately.
  • Bringing one's own food and drinks is prohibited.
  • Violations of the prohibition on bringing one's own food and drinks may result in a ban from the premises.

2. Conduct in the Prater DOME

Every person must behave in such a way that other persons are not endangered, harmed, discriminated against, harassed, provoked, threatened or insulted.

The following is mandatory in particular:

  • Considerate behavior toward guests, employees, artists, emergency services as well as security and stewarding personnel.
  • Immediate compliance with instructions from the organizer, management, information office, staff, security and stewarding services as well as emergency services.
  • Compliance with announcements, information signs, mandatory signs and prohibition signs.
  • Immediate reporting of accidents, damage or safety-relevant incidents.
  • Keeping emergency exits, escape routes, stairs, lift access points, rescue routes and emergency facilities clear.
  • Disposing of waste in the designated waste containers.

The following is prohibited in particular:

  • Political propaganda.
  • Racist, sexist, discriminatory, xenophobic or right-wing extremist slogans.
  • Wearing or distributing corresponding symbols, lettering, signs or emblems.
  • Provocative, threatening, discriminatory or insulting behavior.
  • Improper shouting, whistling or causing noise, especially during artistic performances.
  • Endangering one's own life or safety as well as the life or safety of other persons.
  • Causing personal injury or property damage.
  • Disturbances, harassment, aggressive behavior or violence.
  • Entering areas not released for access, in particular backstage, technical, event organization, storage or staff areas.
  • Blocking or impairing emergency exits, escape routes, stairs, lift access points, rescue routes or emergency facilities.
  • Climbing on or over structures, facilities, barriers, lighting installations, roofs, masts or similar installations.
  • Making fire.
  • Igniting, firing or using pyrotechnic items, flares, smoke powder, smoke bombs or comparable objects.
  • Relieving oneself outside the toilets.
  • Contaminating the event area.

Violations may result in immediate expulsion, a ban from the premises, claims for damages and/or a police report.

3. Protection of Facilities, Property and Cleanliness

  • Buildings, facilities, technical equipment, decoration, floors, walls, doors, sanitary facilities and other objects must be treated with care.
  • Damage, accidents and safety-relevant incidents must be reported immediately to security staff, the infopoint or the organizer.
  • The persons responsible are liable for cleaning, repair or replacement.
  • Wilful damage will result in a ban from the premises and, where applicable, a report for property damage.

The following is prohibited in particular:

  • Damaging
  • Spraying
  • Writing on
  • Painting
  • Sticking items onto
  • Wilful soiling
  • Any other contamination of facilities, structural installations, pillars, walls, doors, fences, floors, paths or other surfaces.

Smoking ban:

  • A strict smoking ban applies in Prater DOME.
  • Only defined outdoor smoking areas are exempt.
  • The provisions of the Tobacco Act, as amended, must be complied with.

4. Prohibited Items and Security Checks

Bringing the following items and substances into Prater DOME is prohibited:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Knives of any kind, in particular pocket knives, kitchen knives or comparable objects
  • Bags and containers of any kind, except up to a maximum size of A4
  • Objects that may be used as weapons, striking weapons, thrusting weapons, stabbing weapons or projectiles
  • Addictive substances
  • Ladders, stools, folding chairs, chairs, seating and standing aids
  • Bicycles and other vehicles
  • Bags larger than A4
  • Backpacks larger than A4
  • Suitcases
  • Umbrellas (medical walking aids are exempt)
  • Pyrotechnic items, in particular fireworks, smoke powder, smoke bombs or comparable objects
  • Gas spray cans
  • Corrosive, flammable, staining or otherwise dangerous substances or liquids
  • Vessels containing substances hazardous to health or easily flammable substances
  • Mechanically operated noise instruments, in particular megaphones, compressed-air fanfares, whistles, horns or comparable objects
  • Laser pointers
  • Splintering or fragile objects
  • Animals
  • Advertising items, in particular banners, flyers or comparable materials
  • Objects that could impair the safety and/or reputation of the event or the organizer
  • Objects and substances that may pose a risk to the protected interests listed in Section 18 para. 1 of the Vienna Events Act

Security checks:

  • Dangerous items may be retained.
  • The organizer and the security coordination may deny persons admission or expel them from the event area in the event of violations.
  • Prohibited items may be removed.
  • In cases of doubt, classification as prohibited or permitted is at the discretion of the responsible security officer.
  • Clothing, bags and containers may be searched or scanned.
  • Technical aids, in particular metal detectors, may be used.
  • Anyone refusing checks or carrying prohibited items may be refused admission.
  • Prohibited items are generally not stored and may be disposed of.

5. Safety, Use and Health Protection

  • Emergency exits, escape routes, stairs, lift access points, rescue routes and emergency facilities must be kept clear at all times.
  • Misuse of emergency facilities is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of the club is at one's own risk.
  • The organizer may close, clear or restrict access to areas for safety reasons.
  • Due to increased volume, there is a risk of possible hearing and health damage.
  • Hearing protection is provided free of charge upon request at the infopoint.
  • Found items must be handed in at the infopoint.

6. Use Subject to Prior Approval

Only permitted with prior approval are:

  • Commercial photography
  • Commercial filming
  • Commercial sound recordings
  • Advertising
  • Promotion
  • Surveys
  • Signature collections
  • Distribution of flyers
  • Events, assemblies and demonstrations in the event area
  • Any use of Prater DOME beyond the ordinary scope

7. Vouchers

  • No cash redemption.
  • Certain vouchers may be excluded for special events.

8. Data Protection and Surveillance

  • The premises are under video surveillance.
  • Video surveillance serves in particular safety, protection of property, protection of house rights, investigation of incidents and preservation of evidence.
  • Criminally relevant behavior will be reported without exception.
  • Security staff may use bodycams in accordance with applicable data protection provisions, in particular the GDPR.
  • Webcams for marketing purposes do not record personal data.
